Established in 1972, Reliance Building Company is a general contracting firm composed of experienced engineers, construction managers, and design builders. By using its background in engineering, the RBC team strives to make the building process simple and professional for both design professionals and the clients they serve. Our understanding of the problems that architects and engineers face allows us to better fulfill our contractual obligations and deliver quality projects to our clients. R. Lynn Natzic
President, Professional Engineer
Lynn spent 10 years in the nuclear industry as a structural engineer before becoming the owner of Reliance Building Company in 1995. Lynn has over 40 years of experience in engineering and construction systems, and his skills and expertise have continually expanded Reliance Building Company since gaining ownership. Lynn received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University in 1985.
Daniel B. Chenoweth
Senior Project Manager
Dan joined Reliance Building Company in 2006 as an intern and was hired as a full-time project manager upon completion of his degree. Since joining the RBC team Dan has successfully completed a number projects such as the Walled Lake-Novi Wastewater Treatment Plant Retention Basin, and the Macomb County Biofilter. When not on the jobsite, Dan is bidding and estimating new work, and backing up field operations in the office. Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Eastern Michigan University in 2007 and his Master of Business Administration from the Walsh College of Business and Accountancy in 2012.
Eric A. Chenoweth
Project Manager
Eric joined Reliance Building Company in 2018 after returning to Michigan. Prior to joining the team, Eric owned and operated a commercial construction company in Charlotte, North Carolina where he constructed and renovated swimming pools for over a decade. Eric has brought over 20 years of hands-on strategic planning and project management experience to Reliance Building Company, and has used those skills to complete projects such as the Independence Township DPW Building, while simultaneously assisting on the Walled Lake-Novi WWTP Clarifiers replacement, and the Pittsfield Township Water Booster Station. Eric received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Walsh College of Accountancy and Business Administration in 2001.
Troy A. Dolkowski
Project Manager
Troy joined Reliance Building Company in 2019 as an intern and became a full-time project manager upon completion of his degree. Since joining Reliance, Troy has completed several projects including the Hillview Wellhouse in White Lake, Phase 1 of the Booster Station Rehabilitation in Pittsfield, and the installation of Water Quality Monitoring Panels in Flint. Troy received his Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Michigan State University in 2019.
